Cost is $35 and includes all art supplies/materials and take home stamp creations.

POETRY & PAINTING
Friday April 12th 2013 from 10am-1pm

April is Poetry Month!  For children, the benefits of reading and learning about poetry are immense.  There are an endless number of hidden benefits in exposing children to a diverse selection of poetry at an early age. What better time to explore them than National Poetry Month? Poetry celebrates the individual word, the sound of language, and the rhythm of language in a way that narrative does not. A poem can be a fun, short, tasty morsel to share with children. Introducing very young children to poetry exposes them to the sounds and rhythms of language, piquing interest in words and learning to read.  We will celebrate this art form by creating our very own one of a kind poems and paintings inspired by them.  Afterwards we will transform a poem into a special performance!  And, as always we will end our time together with an all fruit popsicle.

Cost is $40 and includes all art supplies/materials and take home project.

PUZZLE-MANIA!
Wednesday April 17th 2013 from 2:30pm-4:30pm

Let's use  our logic and deductive abilities to piece together a wide array of puzzles from simple peg puzzles to jigsaw puzzles and manipulative brain teasers.  Students can work independently or as a group to piece together missing pictures.  The educational value of puzzles is immense for children!  We will be practicing our cognitive, math, and fine motor skills...eventually creating two of our own different kinds of puzzles.  Later we will play drama games that encourage teamwork and creativity.  We will end our time together with an all fruit popsicle outside with friends.

Cost is $35 and includes all art supplies/materials and take home puzzles.

EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
Friday April 19th 2013 from 10am-1pm

Let's celebrate Arbor Day and the upcoming Earth Day by creating some earth inspired art.  We will explore what ways we can each take good care of and honor our planet.  We will even plant a tree!  Afterwards we will create a Earth and Arbor Day inspired play to act out.  We will end our time with an all fruit popsicle outside with friends.

Cost is $40 and includes all art supplies/materials and take home project.

SILLY GLASSES!
Wednesday April 24th 2013 from 2:30pm-4:30pm

How silly can you be?!  Bring your silly self and decorate a pair of huge silly glasses!  Putting these over sized silly glasses on instantly sparks laughter and merriment.  Afterwards we will play some silly drama games, getting out our wiggles and finding our inner funny.  We will end our time together with a all fruit popsicle outside with friends.

Cost is $35 and includes all supplies/materials and take home silly glasses.

RAINSTICKS
Friday April 26th 2013 from 10am-1pm

April showers bring May flowers!  Let's celebrate the magic of rain by creating and painting our own musical rain sticks!  The soothing sounds of these unique handmade instruments will delight the whole family.  We will let our learning of how and why it rains to inspire a group created story to act out!  We will end our time together with an all fruit popsicle outside with friends.

Cost is $40 and includes all supplies/art materials and take home rainstick.
