Hi, I'm Tracy and I'm a photographic storyteller in the Bay Area! I love capturing the best in people and moments of shared experiences. I have been a Art, Drama, & Photography teacher for over 12 years, teaching the arts throughout Northern California public schools, Civic Arts in Walnut Creek, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, Bay Area Children's Theatre, and privately. MAKE A BIRD FEEDER during National Bird Feeding Month!
**Wednesday, February 27th 2013 from 2:30-4:30pm
Let's celebrate National Bird Feeding Month by making some sweet bird feeders for our winged friends!  Afterwards we will play drama games and end the fun with a popsicle!

Cost is $30 and includes all art supplies/materials, popsicle, and take home project.


MARCH 2013

LORAX - WHO SPEAKS FOR THE TREES?!
Friday, March 1st 2013 from 10am-1pm
Let's celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday by reading "The Lorax" and creating environmental art that grows!  After reading the story, students will discuss our environment and simple things we can each do to better take care of it.   Once we paint our own pot we will plant a seed to grow!  Let's enjoy the fun of getting our hands dirty and watching our plants grow in the coming months.  Of course we will also be jumping on the trampoline and creating our own wonderful stories to act out with costumes!  As always, we will end our day with an all fruit popsicle.

ROCK BAND
**Wednesday, March 6th 2013 from 2:30pm-4:30pm
Let's spend an afternoon finding, designing, and painting rocks to create our very own "rock band", complete with googly eyes!  Afterwards we will bring out a variety of musical instruments to collaborate in our very own music band along with playing drama games.  And, as always we will finish our fun together with an all fruit popsicle.

BANG THAT DRUM!
Friday, March 8th 2013 from 10am-1pm
Let's design, construct, and decorate our very own drums!  Watch out world...get ready for a new beat!  Let's beat out our own rhythms on these unique and one of a kind drums.  We will learn about different drums from around the world and listen to some great beats.  Afterwards we will incorporate our drums and music into a story we will create and perform!  The fun will end with an all fruit popsicle and time spent on the big trampoline.

NEW! FAMOUS ARTIST SERIES: Pablo Picasso
**Saturday, March 9th 2013 from 10am-1pm
Let's celebrate the life and art of one of the most famous and influential artists...Pablo Picasso!  Students will have a chance to learn about Picasso's life through stories and view a variety of his most famous paintings.  We will attempt to both replicate some of these famous paintings as well as create our own Picasso inspired painting.  Afterwards we will explore a variety of drama games and act out our own story!  The fun will end with an all fruit popsicle and time spent on the big trampoline.

ST. PATTY'S DAY ART & SCAVENGER HUNT
**Wednesday, March 13th 2013 from 2:30pm-4:30pm
Let's celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a fun Shamrock scavenger hunt.  Each Shamrock found will give us clues as to where Leprechauns may have hidden their gold coins!  We will explore what makes a rainbow and do some Irish inspired art in honor of the upcoming Holiday.  As always we will end our fun together...this time with an all fruit (& spinach) green popsicle!

MOSAIC ART
Friday, March 15th 2013 from 10am-1pm
Let's dive into the world of shapes and color as we explore math concepts through our creation of colorful Mosaics!  Students will get to design and produce a special piece of artwork to take home.  Afterwards we will play drama games like "Bus Stop", "Whatcha Doin?", and "Yes it is" and end the day with our all fruit popsicle.

FIRST DAY OF SPRING - FLOWER ART
**Wednesday, March 20th 2013 from 2:30pm-4:30pm
Let's celebrate the first day of spring by planting lovely colorful flowers and painting our very own terra cotta planter!  We will discuss the many flower variations that exist along with the important role flowers have in the natural world and our daily lives.  Afterwards we can create a magical garden story to act out!  And, as always we will end our fun with an all fruit popsicle.

EASTER EGG ART, SCAVENGER HUNT, & NATURAL DYES
**Saturday, March 23rd 2013 from 10am-1pm
Student will weave their own Easter Egg Basket and then enjoy a fun egg and art supplies scavenger hunt!  Once students have collected everything, we will explore natural dyes to create fantastic and beautiful egg art.  Eggs represent new life as we enter into Spring time, so let's enjoy their white canvas to draw on, paint, and dye.  Afterwards we will play some fun drama games that foster creativity, collaboration, and physical movement.  And, as always we will end our fun with an all fruit popsicle.

MELTED CRAYON ART & CRAYON MAKING
**Wednesday, March 27th 2013 from 2:30pm-4:30pm
Join us for a fun afternoon of fine motor skill activities as we peel, sort, break, and re-imagine what shapes a crayon can be!  We will be creating our own Crayon star with various colors of our choosing, breaking the pieces into our mold and baking it to melted perfection!  Next we will create some melted crayon pictures using an old fashioned warming plate and tin foil.  Have extra crayons you don't use anymore, bring them and we will repurpose them!  Afterwards we will create a colorful story to act out!  And, as always we will finish our fun together with an all fruit popsicle.

UPCYCLE TOY CREATIONS
Friday, March 29th 2013 from 10am-1pm
Calling all toy lovers and engineers!  We will turn our old broken down toys into new super toy creations as we re-envision new life for old toys.  Plenty of hot glue, string, and tape will be on hand for instant toy building fun!  Have old toy parts or broken things around your house you just don't want to throw away?  Bring them and add them to our magical treasure box of discarded play things!  Think "Sid" from Toy Story, except nicer!  Afterwards we will make time to jump on the giant trampoline and play improvisational theatre games, maybe even act out a story!  And, as always we will finish our fun together with an all fruit popsicle.

~ All classes are held in Lafayette, CA and are geared for kids 4+.  We are conveniently located a short walking distance to the Lafayette Reservoir which is a great option for parents looking to take time to energize while your child is in class.  ~
